Empathy
It comes from the Greek, to sympathize, to feel in common. Describe a person’s ability to experience the way another person feels and share their feelings, which can lead to a better understanding of their behavior or decision-making. It is the ability to understand the needs, feelings and problems of others, putting yourself in their place, and responding correctly to their emotional reactions.
Human beings are intrinsically social animals. Our brains have developed subtle and sophisticated ways of understanding what other people are thinking and feeling.
Unfortunately it seems that instinct suffers a short circuit when we are in large groups. Corporations become more insular. We transform ourselves into ivory towers.
Empathy can even begin to ensure more ethical behavior in a way that no code of conduct has been able to.
It is in human nature to be interested in a person who is interested in you.
If you want to create products and services that others care about, you should put your problems aside to start dedicating yourself to the lives of other people.
Creating this type of empathic connection can have profound effects on a company, beyond increasing its growth rate. New meaning is given to the work that people do. In today’s world, this is a meaning we lack: companies offer competitive salaries, vacation packages, health insurance and retirement plans. But very few can show some kind of connection between the work they do and the positive impact on the world. Beyond having “a 15 and a last”, many do not have a good reason to go to work on a Monday morning.
In addition to the economic impact, increasing empathy for the people your company serves can help you see how your work makes a difference in their lives. And that is the greatest reward of all.
The Question of Attitude:
* 1. Our Attitude determines our approach to life
* 2. Our Attitude determines our relationship with people
* “The most important component of the Success formula is knowing how to get along with people”
* 3. Frequently our attitude is the only difference between success and failure
* 4. Our Attitude at the beginning of a task will affect your result
* 5. Our Attitude can turn problems into blessings
* 6. Our Attitude can give us a uniquely meaningful perspective

“All the people who go far (Steve Jobs, Rafa Nadal, Gandhi, etc.) have released their inner power. You also have it, but probably because of certain beliefs embedded in your unconscious, it is blocked. We believe that those who achieve exceptional results have a special, innate gift, and that is not the case. They have simply released, consciously or unconsciously, their power “
Anthony Robbins
